Medicated Water

Boosting your digestive fire will help expel dangerous toxins from your digestive system. One of the easiest and most simple ways to do this is by drinking this home tonic every morning:

  • 1 tsp of grated or minced ginger (fresh)
  • Juice from ½ lemon squeezed
  • 1 tsp of honey
  • 1 cup of warm (not hot) water

Drink first thing in the morning, after scraping your tongue and oil pulling.

This drink flushes out any additional toxins and, when you eliminate these, you cleanse the digestive system in the process.

Please note that Ayurveda looks on heated honey as toxic, so if the water has been boiled it should be well cooled before adding the honey. This also gives time for the ginger flavour to develop.
