Detox Supplies & Detox Preparation

Some of the foods in the recipe handouts that you’ll be getting may be new to you or difficult to get locally.

We recommend trying your local Wholefoods store, Source Wholefoods or similar or finding a local supplier of Indian groceries. If you cannot find any locally, Amazon or some other online supplier may be able to supply what you need.

Below are some Amazon links to some of the items you might have trouble sourcing locally. This includes a link for a Tongue Scraper, which we recommend as part of your new daily routine. (NB – The Amazon links are for the US store but click on the flag icon to the right of the page to select your local store).

  • Black Sesame Oil – Cold Pressed – Link
  • Buckwheat Flour – Link
  • Cardamom Powder – Link
  • CCF Tea – Link
  • Cinnamon – Link
  • Ghee – Link
  • Green Moong Beans – Link
  • Kitchari Kit – Link
  • Tongue Scraper – Link

You do not have to use these specific brands and if you shop around you will likely be able to source most of these at a reduced price.

During Prep Week you don’t need to do all the steps or follow all of the guidelines. Many of these steps will be repeated next week as well so it’s more about becoming familiar with what you will be doing rather than committing to everything.

Begin Detox Preparation (Detox Preparation booklet) which is all about how to detox your body in less than 20 minutes. Regardless of when you start your detox we recommend that you do Stage 1 and 2 each day in the meantime. This is fundamental to the success of your gut clearing and is beneficial to do on an ongoing basis.

You will do the steps in Stages 1 and 2 throughout the whole detox. Important note – if you do not have Triphala available, it’s fine to do Stage 2 without it, however it is beneficial if you can get hold of it. Try
your local Ayurvedic or Asian grocery store, they should have some, or you can contact us to place an order.
